Throughout its history, RAM Records has released music from some of the scene's most respected artists, including Andy C, Ant Miles, Origin Unknown, Ram Trilogy, Sub Focus, Chase & Status, Wilkinson, Culture Shock, Delta Heavy and many others. The label played a pivotal role in bringing drum & bass to wider audiences while maintaining strong roots within underground dance music culture.
Over more than three decades, RAM Records has helped shape the sound and direction of drum & bass through its releases, events, artist development and global influence. Widely regarded as one of the genre's defining institutions, its catalogue remains an important part of drum & bass history and continues to inspire new generations of artists and fans.

However, release activity has slowed significantly in recent years, leading to discussion within the drum & bass community about the label's current direction and future. While the RAM Records catalogue remains available and the brand continues to maintain an online presence, there have been relatively few new releases compared to the label's most active periods. As of 2026, no official announcement has been made regarding the closure of the label. The most recent widely recognised RAM Records release was SyRan's "Ripper" (RAMM471), released in October 2023.
