About The Release

Some collaborations take months to find their direction. Shockwave found its almost immediately.

Bringing together Titanz UK and Alex Physalis, Shockwave is a collision of two distinct approaches to the darker end of Drum & Bass. What began with Titanz sending over the stems quickly developed into a fully formed idea, with Alex immediately hearing where his own sound could take the track.

Built around punishing drums, heavyweight bass design and an atmosphere that never lets the pressure drop, Shockwave sits firmly at the intersection of Neurofunk and Darkside Drum & Bass. The production is hard and uncompromising, but beneath the aggression is a track constructed with purpose — constantly building, shifting and finding new ways to drive forward.

That combination is what gives Shockwave its identity. Titanz bring the foundations, Alex Physalis brings his own unmistakably dark energy and twisted drums, and rather than one sound overpowering the other, the two meet head-on. The result feels less like two separate ideas stitched together and more like a track that was always supposed to exist.

Heavy, precise and built for systems, Shockwave represents exactly what a collaboration should be: two artists bringing their own character to the studio and creating something stronger in the process.

Available exclusively through shindigsDNB digital, Shockwave is not available on streaming platforms or other download stores.

About Titanz (UK) & Alex Physalis

Representing the UK and Belarus respectively, Titanz and Alex Physalis bring together two uncompromising approaches to the darker, harder edges of Drum & Bass. With both artists rooted in heavyweight production, their collaboration combines the raw energy of the UK underground with Alex Physalis' precision-driven Neurofunk sound.

Titanz UK have built their identity around hard-hitting Drum & Bass designed for maximum impact, drawing from the darker foundations of the genre while pushing a modern, heavyweight production style. Their music is direct, bass-driven and built with the dancefloor firmly in mind.

Alex Physalis has established himself within the international Neurofunk scene through technically detailed production, powerful sound design and an unmistakably dark aesthetic. His approach combines tightly controlled drums with aggressive bass work and cinematic atmosphere, bringing both intensity and detail to his productions.

On Shockwave, those two identities come together naturally. What began with Titanz sending Alex the stems quickly developed into a finished collaboration, combining their respective influences across Neurofunk and Darkside Drum & Bass without compromising either artist's individual sound.

Shockwave marks the debut release from Titanz UK and Alex Physalis on shindigsDNB digital. Released exclusively through the platform, it represents exactly the kind of underground, forward-thinking Drum & Bass that shindigsDNB digital was created to support.
